New Orleans Skiffle Backing Track E
Much like a blues, but with that Cajun twist…this backing track combines blues-based chords with a New Orleans groove. At a laid back tempo, you should be able to pull off some cool licks, and test the waters on a few new ideas without having to worry about keeping up with the tune. Make sure you’re comfortable with standard blues changes, because hearing these chords might get you a bit lost. It starts like a standard blues with four bars of the I chord (E), but then hops to B7 and then back to E. The turnaround (A7-Am-E-B7), has some really cool harmonic ideas built in that are perfect for soloing over. Give this one a couple listens before diving in, and the changes will all fall into place.
