Quality Guitar Lessons From A Highly Qualified Instructor
A Child Protégé… Born in Vienna, Austria and raised in Los Angeles, Max picked up the guitar for the first time at the age of 12 and has never looked back. Before earning his Bachelors degree in guitar performance he spent his teen years performing with rock bands in Hollywood at such venues as The Whisky A Go-Go, The Roxy and The Key Club.
A Global Teacher… He was invited to attend a Master’s program in Germany where he studied jazz and classical guitar and competed in numerous international competitions. While living in Germany, Max taught guitar in several music schools including the American International School where he headed the music department.
A Big Stage Presence… In addition to teaching, he toured Europe with various pop/rock acts such as The Frank Drebin Trio and Quinteto Colonia, and Argentinian tango group. It was in Germany that Max began his career in session work. While in Germany he recorded several sessions for The Hesse Projekt, a compilation of Herman Hesse’s work set to music, as well as various electronic, classical and rock recordings.
A Recording Artist… Upon his return to the States, Max continued his work as a session player and live guitarist. Recording for numerous acts in a variety of genre’s including country band Doolin’ Run’s album California Gold, recorded at famed Prarie Sun Studios.
In Hot Demand… Currently he performs with several bands throughout the US including the infamous Bay Area electro-funk band Planet Booty, and has recently been found performing around Los Angeles at various well-renowned venues such as The Baked Potato, The Mint, and Café Cordial.
A Versatile Stylist… A student of every style of music, Max is often heard playing in many gospel churches in and around Los Angeles. In addition to these church gigs Max has shared the stage with rap and R&B legends such as T-Pain and Dru Hill. Despite his studio and live performances, he has always had a passion for teaching, and instructing all players of every level on how to maximize their potential.
